Visit to Firefighter Park in Coeur D'Alene ID With Nana and Gumps

Cake and Mommy are visiting with Nana and Gumps up in Coeur D'Alene Idaho and had great fun at the park down the road from their house! FYI, these are all camera phone pictures and no editing software thats worth anything on this netbook ;).

Between Clifford and the Fire Chief car, Cake was in Heaven!
Not sure who was having the most fun here!

Somehow, I keep flashing back to the first time I drove with my mom and her in the back seat freaking out the whole time, thanks Dad for taking the driving teaching over!

These were kaleidoscope thingys that didn't actually tumble, but Cake thought they were awesome.

A rare glimpse of Gumps!

Nana was super nervous about this teeter totter, it was kind of funny to watch!
Cake's laugh, in and out, is so very contagious, I could positively live on her joy!
You coming Nana?

Yeah, both Gumps and I were not willing to contort ourselves to get down this slide, thank goodness for Nana!

See Gumps, this is how you steer!

There were a bunch of first graders on a field trip and at one point there were at least 10 kids climbing all over this buggy, once they left Cake was quick to try out some of their climbing moves.

She sure was on this Police buggy quite a bit, maybe I was too hasty with the Fire Chief car being a fave?

Yep, crazy first graders screaming and jumping and climbing, I probably would have run away too! (Side note, I love love love love love the wood chips as playground substrate, so much cleaner, and smushier too for those inevitable falls!)
Of course running around was a recurring theme!
This little boy was so sweet, Cake was going to get out of the car so he could play on it, and he said "no, we can both play on it, come on!"

I found it a bit odd, that the only way up to this shorter slide was a rope style ladder, not that Cake couldn't do it, but it was the only slide really suitable for the just walking set. Ok, maybe I'm ranting for no reason, but come on people, some steps perhaps?
Ah, the Clifford rocker, a tried and true friend!

We are having so much fun up here, I love the trees so much, and the air is crisp with that end of winter start of spring sweetness. This is definitely a good way to keep our minds off Daddy being away at work, that and its always nice to be with my parents, I miss them terribly so any time we can get is really nice!
