Train Endure Achieve Matter

OK everyone, for those of you that know me best, you know I am definitely not a runner....That's why I decided that I am going to race walk the Big Sur Half Marathon! My friend Katie has roped me into this and though I am scared to death, it is for an awesome cause (Team in Training for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society) and it just seems like something I should do, you know, like a goal! So here I go....

Oh Boy, what have I gotten myself into?

So I guess we need to learn to walk again, that's Coach Sharon, she is definitely going to challenge us.

So, Do you think we will look like this at Mile 13?

OK, so that was our first Tuesday night training, I go to my first Saturday training tomorrow morning at Lover's Point (yes, I know we are so lucky to be training in such a beautiful place).

Next step is to fundraising, this is going to be a challenge, my personal goal is to raise $3000 for LLS, and I hope to exceed that goal. I know that right now the economy is really hurting all of us, but I would like to ask everyone who reads this blog, friends and curious alike to please donate any amount that you can. Long awaited Disney Photos

We spent 30 flippin dollars to get these downloaded from Disney Photopass, trust me, this was the best deal between having them printed etc.... You will notice Cake's favorite disney character Tinkerbell, and Cake looking terrified!

On another note, I decided to get my eyebrows threaded today, don't let them fool you, it hurts more than waxing, but I will say that I like how they look better than when I get them waxed.

So thats my disorganized blog for today!

Giving it a shot

So, I got bored with the "social networking" sites which seem to be more about how many "friends" you can collect rather than keeping in touch with real friends and family and keeping people updated. Plus I wanted to be able to have a family spot, where both Husband and I could be involved, we shall see if he actually gets involved!

Have never done the blogging thing, even while on that other site, so it will be interesting.
